Some while ago we were reviewing VS Painter, a drawing app for Windows Mobile which allows you to create incredible drawings and virtual paintings on your touch phone: see the some of the drawings I did this year, in March. Autodesk SketchBook brings the same features to Android.

In order to function properly, this software requires multi-touch phone featuring Android 2.1 (or above), a 1GHz processor (it might work not so fast on smaller CPU) and 512mb RAM. Resco Pocket Radio is an interesting audio player providing streaming for duzins of internet radio stations. If you enjoy listening internet radio on your handheld, Resco Radio is a must-have! The quality of the sound is astonishing, as the program uses two of the best audio formats- MP3 and OGG, and the playing process provides comfortable experience, even if you have a weaker internet connection. In other words, Resco Radio tries ( and succeeds) to always provide you a good gapless playback.

Youtube Google Application  is one of the best to be used for streaming Youtube videos. Not only that is an official application from Youtube, specially designed for Windows Mobile, but is a very good one. As far as I can tell it has worked very fine on all HTC phone I’ve tested it on. The application has a nice user interface, with graphic effects and good looking fluid animations. The video playback is quite good- you will not have very clear images, but this is the price to pay for a flawless playback, without lags.

It seems that the video clarity is adapted to your device’s connection speed, which is very smart. It’s a pitty though that there aren’t many options in this application and you cannot custom it too much. But, for a  free application it’s great and so let’s be gratefull to it’s authors, they did a great job on it.

I’m sure you always wanted a painting/drawing program on your htc, if not to exhibit your drawing skills, at least to have some fun once in a while. VS Painter is not just a basic paint tool, but a highly complex drawing program with lots of features which, combined with more or less drawing talent, can result in  very cool artworks, as you can see below. Note that this program is available in two versions: a light one, available for free, and a paid one, which has all the features enabled.

If you like a song you hear somewhere and you want to find out it’s name, all you need to do is take your htc phone out and start Midomi Music Identifier! This program needs less than 6 seconds to recognize a certain track and few other seconds to search and identify the track on the internet. It can even recognize a play you sing or just hum, which is kind of cool, isn’t it? I’m very curious if this software actually works. Maybe we’ll test it and find the answer to that question in one of the following days.
