If you ever travelled to foreign coutries you probably experienced how difficult it is to communicate with people who don’t speak the same language as you. Travel Interpreter is an Android application which can translate anything you want it to translate into any language. This software can not only be very useful to travellers, but it can become very useful to anyone who wants to learn a new language.

The app downloads 75Mb of images to your phone, these images are used to illustrate meanings of various words or sentences. Sepparately you have to download the language packs for each language you want to install on your phone, overall there are 29 languages available for Travel Interpreter Android.

Images will appear in the middle of your screen and right below them you can read the words describing the image. Audio clips made by native speakers are also available, this way you will always know what the prononciation for certain words is.

Let’s face it: the Android OS looks just as if it was designed for fast communication, it always stays connected to a Wi-Fi or a 3G network, keeping you and your friends almost all the time in contact. Many of you probably wanted to ask this question at least once: can I connect my PC to the internet through the an Android Phone’s GPRS/EDGE connection?

The answer is yes and it’s pretty simple. Some clever guy came up with this really cool Android software, called PdaNet. PdaNet needs to be installed on your PC and on your Android Phone, after that it allows you to connect the PC to your phone’s GPRS/EDGE network.

This is pretty cool, as specially for those of you who travel a lot. When you’re on a train ride, you can always pull your laptop out and start browsing internet pages, reading news and writing emails.

Since the release of the first mobile phones there have been rumors about mobile calls affecting our health. More and more studies seem to prove this idea and advise people to use their phones as rare as possible. Some Android developers have taken this problem into their own hands and they have created Sanity.

Not even a full month passed since the official release of Windows Phone 7 and yet, the Windows Phone market features 3000 apps. That’s pretty impressive if you ask me. One of the newest apps on the market is SKB Group SMS.

SKB Group SMS isn’t rich in features and hasn’t got any superpowers either. But I wanted to present it to you, since it’s currently the only Windows Phone app that does one very important, simple thing: through this application you can create contact groups and send mass SMS to certain people or groups of people. Keep my advice in mind and install this app on your Windows Phone 7! The holidays are close and what can be more pleasant, than to compose a sweet, sincere Christmas or Happy New Year message and mass mail it to all your friends?

SKB Group SMS can be purchased for 17,99$, a pretty high price. But think at all the SMS you have to send for Christmas. Maybe this app is worth the money for you.

We’ve said few things about a very well known paid contact manager (Resco Contact Manager), but last week a friend asked me if I could recommend him a free contact manager for Windows Mobile. I didn’t know what to tell him. So I started searching the net and came across Nektra Contact Manager.

It’s pretty unusual and unexpected to find finger friendly and touch intuitive software for free or even at a low price. The Nektra Contact Manager was one of these unexpected things I found. With it’s very friendly interface and it’s richness in features, I considered it not only the best freeware contact manager, but even a competition for paid ones (like Resco for example).

Nektra Contact Manager allows you to do all sorts of things like grouping contacts by companies and friend groups, phone history list, a rapid contact search, selecting and displaying photos for each of your contacts and sending mass text messages to certain groups.
